Spread the love

Hello there!  Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 454.

I hope your week has gone well.  Mine has been so busy; I’ve not had time to do much of the “needed” things.  So this weekend will be catch-up instead of catch-ya-later-I’m-going-antique-shopping.  Bleh.

I mentioned last week that I’d share a photo of the new trim paint color on the house.  We still need to trim the bushes, add flowers to the pots, and add fresh mulch, but we can’t do that in this heat.  It will be done as soon as we can.  Sorry if you’re one of our neighbors.

I don’t think the beige was terrible, but it’s been there since it was built in the year 2000.  And to be honest, I’m not 100% in love with the new color.  But it was time for something different.  Something to make the stone and darker bricks pop a little more.  Plus, there are only so many color choices.  Our HOA board is a cranky bunch.

It’s a warm gray by Sherwin-Williams called Gauntlet Gray # 7019.  I looked through the fan deck at every taupe color they had, and none of them looked good.

But one thing is for sure – it looks fresh and new again.  And instead of the light terracotta bricks saying hello, the charcoals and taupe bricks are more dominant.

Our house went from Plain Jane to Stand-out Stanley!

Okay, moving on.  This week, our theme will be anything outdoors.  So link up your favorite outdoorsy posts!
