Happy Independence Day! I hope you have something fantastic (and cool) planned. I’m not sure what we’ll be doing, but I can say it won’t be anything outside. Bleh. Dare I say, I’m ready for fall? I know, I know. Believe me, I’m not rushing summer. It’s a great season. Think about all the great memories you made when school was out. As you do that, I’ll be thinking I need a vacation in Greenland.

Yesterday I posted a 2 ingredient peach sherbet recipe. Well, can you really call it a recipe if it’s on 2 ingredients? Either way, it’s so good and so easy that you’ll want to make it several times this season.
2 – Ingredient Peach Sherbet Recipe!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 405!
The theme this week is Easy DIY’s! All of these ideas can be done in a jiffy and inside in the air-conditioning! You’re welcome. ๐
Do you know what these were before they were these adorable flower containers? Check out the post from Steph Creates Things to make some yourself.
It’s crazy how expensive lampshades are these days. Here’s one from Julie at My Wee Abode that’s super cute and easy to make for a fraction of the cost. Pin it for later!
Carol from Bluesky at Home has a great tutorial on how to update a vintage stool. Gotta love a good upcycle!
This is a 2-fer! Lee Ann at Creative Moments made this riser/tray from an old cabinet door. It’s worth checking out and pinning for a future project. Just think of the uses!

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 405 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is, please link your posts only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across social media accounts which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you friends. We can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!

Cindy, thank you for adding my hanging flower display to the featured lists. I appreciate it. Your peach sherbet looks and sounds yummy. I’m going to give it a try! As always, thank you for hosting. Have a wonderful Fourth of July.

That’s exciting Debbie. It got a little cooler last night but girl, when I walked outside, my arms were wet after 5 minutes! I can take the heat, not the humidity! Bleh. Happy Independence Day!
I’m the opposite of you ~ 1 week of Fall & 1 week of Winter are more than enough for me, then back to Spring & Summer! I love the warm (even hot) weather (and I live in Texas!). So, is a ONE (1) ingredient banana “ice cream” considered sorbet then b/c there’s no dairy? In fact it’s nothing except for frozen bananas, cut into chunks and put into your food processor for about 5 minutes (may need to keep scraping down the sides). Eat it right away for “soft serve” or freeze it. No sugar, no dairy ~ nothing else ~ best of all, NO GUILT!

I love bananas and still eat them even though they make my mouth itch. And I love a guilt free dessert! Thank you Cindy.
I think I remember mentioning this before – that I’m Cynthia Lynn. ๐
You sound like my husband. He will sit outside and enjoy it even when it’s scorching. Where in TX do you live? I walked outside this morning and the humidity was so ridiculous. After 5 minutes my arms were wet. Yuck!
Thanks for the visit. Hope you have a wonderful July 4th weekend.
Thank you SO much for the feature! Your sherbet recipe looks amazing! Hope you have a happy 4th!

I don’t know if it’s my current age but when you put Independence Day that way, it doesn’t seem very old. And I guess compared to many places (like Syria) it’s not! Hope you are having a great weekend. Thank you Rita!
