Have you ever gotten to a point in your life when you look around your home (and possibly the closets) and think, I have enough decor? I feel I could be in such a predicament. I look forward to wandering around an antique store, but it’s getting harder to justify what I bring home. A long time ago, if I didn’t already have a spot for an item, I wouldn’t buy it. Nowadays, I am the first to hold up my hand and say – if you love it, you’ll find a place for it.
My Collected Home Sale and New Adventure
A few of the pieces I will share with you!
However, lately I’ve been having a hard time finding spots and storage! I don’t want to give up antique shopping. It’s a beloved hobby. But on more than a few occasions, the Mister has mentioned the wall-to-wall furniture. Obviously, he is mistaken in what he claims to have seen. 😉
Silver-plated casserole dish stand.
So, I came up with a plan that I think will help us all. I am going to write a post highlighting (and pricing) a super cute item and share ideas on how you can use it in your home. If it’s something you’d love to add to your collection, let me know, and I’ll personally ship it to you (within the U.S.). Some items will be new-to-me finds that were a good deal, and some will come straight from my own home (and still a good deal!). You might even already own a few of the pieces I share. If that’s the case, hopefully you’ll discover a fresh idea for styling them!
I’m going to call it My Collected Home Sale.
What do you think it was originally?
If you think about it, it’s a win-win situation really. I’ll be able to reduce my ever-growing collection, add a fun post to the blog, keep shopping, and most importantly, continue to find unique pieces to share with my decor-loving companions. My friend says I’m indulging my habit. LOL. She knows me well.
This will be handy and pretty!
I still believe decorating a home is a personal journey and should take years to curate. But I’m hoping to help some of you get there a little faster.
This will work with just about any style.
I’m planning on one post and one item each week. Life may get in the way, but that’s the goal. The pieces will be reasonably priced, and fingers crossed that, if they are from my own home, I remember how much I paid for them.
Where do you think she’s from?
All you need to do is comment that you’d like to purchase it. The first person to comment that they want it will get first dibs. We will exchange payment and shipping details, and that’s it. If you aren’t the first to claim it, comment anyway – you never know what might happen.
Oh, the possibilities!
What do you think? The only downside I see is that I may want to keep everything that I find.
Would you buy a piece from me if I shared ideas on how to use it in your home? Let me know in the comments! Thank you, friends. See you again soon!
