Happy Friday, friends. Thank you for joining me at Farmhouse Friday 442. Y’all, I went to 3 different stores on 3 different days this week. Two were antique stores, and the last one was more of a gift store. The first thing I noticed was that all 3 of the stores played several of the same songs. The one that stuck in my head was “Afternoon Delight”. I’d never paid attention to it before, mostly because I’m an 80’s girl. Is that really what people were singing about when I was in the 5th grade? And in all 3 stores?! My life is comical for sure.

If you missed the Design/Pinterest Challenge this week, you can see it by clicking the title underneath the photo below. It’s always interesting to see how one inspirational photo can turn into so many different looks. I love it!
A Quick and Easy Spring Porch Refresh!
I think we are finally (maybe) going to get back to the themes each week. However, I know there will be at least one week (maybe more) this summer when I won’t have time for features. But I will try to get the link party open those weeks.
So, to start us off in May, our theme will be MOTHERS! – Please post anything regarding MOMS today!
I look forward to seeing your links! Now let’s get to this weeks features.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 442
How fun are these little homegrown carrots?! If you ever wanted to know how to grow all kinds of different carrots, this is the post for you! Hop over to The Marigold Potager for great tips from Tanja. You’re going to wish she lived down the street from you.
Have you ever thought stenciling your own walls? Well Cecilia from My Thrift Store Addiction can give you the details for a beautiful result. Definitely worth the pin for later.
Lee Ann from Creative Moments knows a thing or two or three about transforming furniture. Just look at this coffee table! If you want to refinish a piece, you’ll want the right tools and instruction. Hit her up for something you’ll treasure forever.
Want to feel like you’ve toured a professional garden? Then stop by and see all of Barbara’s roses at French Ethereal. She’s got quite the green thumb! Everything looks beautiful.

Cindy,
That is interesting about the same music in all those stores…I know the 90’s are back in fashion and in decor because of the John and Caroline Kennedy series…

Oh Yay, Esme, thank you! I look forward to checking them out. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I used to sing that in the house in grade school. I can only imagine what my parents thought of me singing those lyrics 😯

LOLOLOL! Oh my goodness, that is hilarious! I’m sure tons of kids were singing it and had no idea. They were probably envisioning ice cream.

Cindy, thank you so much for featuring my garden post!! I am honored. <3 I hope all is well with you. I have been out of town so I hadn't seen your post until today (May 11th) as I was at an IOOF (Odd Fellows & Rebekahs) event last week in Reno, and am now in Sacramento at my mother-in-law's place. Work trip helping to clean up her garden, lol!
Thank you again and I see that the party went really well,
Big rosey hugs,
Barb 🙂
