Welcome and thank you for visiting Farmhouse Friday 443. I know you have lots of other things you could be doing. Sometimes I feel guilty scrolling through Instagram or sitting down to read a book or magazine. But not this weekend – it’s all about me! LOL.
You aren’t going to believe this, but it’s true! I woke up this morning with the biggest grin on my face. I was having a dream where my oldest and I were chatting about one of his friends. During the story he was telling me, I said, “That’s awesome.” Then he said – actually you’re awesome.
I know it was a dream because that would never come out of his mouth. On a rare occasion, he’s said I love you, too but that’s it. Anyway, the dream has already made my weekend. Ha! I guess I’m craving attention from my kids, or maybe someone needs to step up with words of affirmation around here, since that is my main love language. ๐

Enough about my adult kids and me. What are your plans? Please let me know in the comments!
On May 25th, those of us in the U.S. are to remember, honor, and express gratitude for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. So the theme this week will be the colors red, white, and/or blue. Even our friends outside the U.S. can post something in any of those colors. It will be one big, beautiful link party!
Our theme last week was Mothers. Thank you for giving me lots of inspo for the features. I loved it!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 443
Want to make mom something she will treasure over and over again? Try a handmade candle inside a piece of vintage porcelain. You can find the DIY at Masterpieces of My Life. You still have time to make one, and you might as well make one for yourself.
Laurie and Laura over at Our Grand Lives shared an easy activity to do with the littles for a fun gift for mom. You’ll want to see the photos and check out the details so you can make some too. They are so handy! And full of love.
Sometimes moms don’t get the day off, but want to have fun anyway. Well, Sam has a fun cactus craft for the kids. Find the details and other ideas at Simple Everyday Mom. And don’t forget to pin it!
Libbie at A Life Unfolding has a great idea for celebrating mom and not getting stuck in the kitchen! I love this idea! Pop over so you can see for yourself how to create a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch!

Remember, for a chance to be featured, this week, you’ll want to post the theme, which is anything red, white, and/or blue in honor of Memorial Day coming up!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 443 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. However, it would be nice to see – Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is; please link your posts only once.
- The party runs 6 AM CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM CST on Monday.
- I don’t require a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog, so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- Try to link up something that pertains to the weekly theme!
- By linking a post with the weekly theme, you have a chance to be featured here at next week’s party, which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc., with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you, friends. I can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!
Such a sweet dream, I hope it comes true! Thanks for the party.

Happy to feature it! I’ve been wanting to do the same craft for years but still find it a little intimidating. I bought all the stuff to make one but it’s in the closet collecting dust. Yours are lovely. Hope you weekend is amazing. Thank you for linking up.

Happy Belated Mom’s Day! “They will rise up and call you blessed”…yep, that’s a dream;) Actually, my big kiddos write very nice notes in the cards they give me…if they remember to get a card:( I took a nap in the hammock & then enjoyed supper at home with the kids. Then they indulged me and looked through my trailer full of old junky furniture:) Yes, hooray for the r, w, and blue!

Aww, that sounds like an amazing day and your kids sound awesome!
Is it sad that your quote/verse reminded me of my favorite Christmas movie The Bishop’s Wife before Prov. 31?! LOL.
And I’m already excited to see all the patriotic ideas this week! Have a great week my friend.
