Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 440. Y’all, it’s been a week. Last Friday, the Mister discovered a leak under the slab in the middle of the house. This entire week, we’ve had no water and certainly no hot water. The mister would turn it on to flush toilets once or twice a day. Gross. Honestly, I think he missed his calling and should have been a camp counselor. If we were allowed to take a shower, we were given instructions to keep it to a minimum. Fine by me – the water was freezing. Don’t even get me started on the side yard. It looks like Pompeii back there.
Why didn’t we think of going to a hotel? I do not know. But today, things are back to normal, and I got my first hot shower! I know this is all first-world problems, and yes, I’m grateful. However, I’m still scratching my head, wondering why I never brought up the possibility of a hotel.
All that said, I’ve been cleaning and putting furniture back in order, etc. Plus, it’s almost midnight, and I’m tired. But I still want to support my people. So please let us see what you’ve been up to, and thank you for linking up.

Oh goodness! I wish you had thought to call your insurance company. You probably have coverage that would have paid for a hotel and even meals. I just learned that while renewing my insurance.
