Are you a fan of salty snacks or do you gravitate towards the sweets?  I like salty stuff but when I can get both together, it’s a win-win!  For the Pinterest Challenge this month, our group is sharing some favorite snacks for the big game day.  One of my faves is the so-easy and so-perfect 3 ingredient Super Bowl snack!

The So-Easy and So-Perfect 3 Ingredient Super Bowl Snack!

If you’ve hopped over from White Arrows Home, howdy!  I’ve never tried anything with whiskey bitters but Kristin’s nut mix sounds intriguing.  Okay, let’s get to cooking!

One thing for sure, when we watch football, we like snacks over full meals.  Popcorn, chips, queso, guacamole, sliders – easy finger foods.  So when I saw this recipe by Taste of Home on Pinterest, I was all over it.  And a recipe with only 3 ingredients, yes please.

bags of chips, peanuts, chocolate chops and pecans

Ingredients:

2 Cups coarsely crushed Ridged or Wavy Potato Chips

10 ounces White Chocolate Baking Chips

1/2 Cup (or a little more if you prefer) Chopped Pecans

Easy Steps:

Crush the chips inside a plastic baggie.

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, 45 seconds at a time.  Then 20 seconds when it’s almost completely melted.  You don’t want it to burn.

Once it’s all melted, stir in the potato chips.  Once combined, stir in the chopped pecans.

Scoop them out onto waxed paper or in individual cupcake liners and let cool in the refrigerator.  They are perfectly cooled in less than 5 minutes.

Y’all when I say this came together in 15 minutes, I’m not lying!  And that includes the cooling time.  They are perfect for any occasion and I call them Choco Chip Nut Clusters!

And this could be a bonus – you can only eat just one, maybe two because they are so rich.  It’s the perfect mix of creaminess, crunchiness, sweet and salty.

I also tried using crushed Frito’s, dry roasted peanuts and butterscotch chips!  Totally different taste.  When I opened the bag of butterscotch chips the smell was overwhelmingly sweet so I added a few dark chocolate melting wafers to cut the smell and sweetness.  They came out delicious!!!

I saw that Trader Joes had peanut butter chips.  Those would also be amazing.  I can’t choose a favorite and depending on what everyone else says, they might be my next go-to snack for all parties!

Do you think you’ll try the so-easy and so-perfect 3 ingredient Super Bowl snack?!  If you do, let me know what you think.  And if you have any other combinations that you try, tell me!

About this time last year I was making a super easy ice cream cake for the Mister’s birthday.  It’s his favorite.  If you’d like to check that out, click here.  I bet you’ll never make it a different way again.

If you’re following in order, next up is Kristy from Our Southern Home.  I can hardly wait to try her Chili recipe!

Sweet/salty is my favorite and these seriously sound like crack to me! Oh my…could be very dangerous! Thanks for the quick, easy idea!

    • January 24, 2024 / 5:11 pm

Crack, chips, nuts and chocolate – quite the combo. :0 And yes, they are very dangerous. But at my age, I choose to live on the wild side. None of this watch your salt, watch your calories, rubbish. They are trying to make our last years crappy! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope you make some!
