Spring Decorating Ideas From My Pinterest Board

Spread the love

Hey Friends!  Are you ready for spring and with that some spring decorating?  Yay, me too!  I was sitting in the family room yesterday and happened to check the weather since we’ll be heading to the farmhouse tomorrow.  Weirdly enough, instead of figuring out what clothes to pack, I started looking around the room and wondering what I’d do for spring decor.  Of course that sent me straight to Pinterest.  I found some great ideas and thought I’d share them with you too.  Here are a few spring decorating ideas from my Pinterest board.

Does the color white say spring to you?!

This is from my sweet friend Yvonne over at StoneGable blog.  This is the family room in her previous home but the spring decor is so lovely and simple that it is a classic look lasting for years to come.  You can never go wrong with white for spring.  White vases, candle sticks, rugs, chairs, flowers, anything really.  It’s always bright, cheery and works with any decor.

This is so stinkin’ cute!

This photo was found on Amber’s page – Follow the Yellow Brick Home.   This fun farmhouse look would work year round.  You could add bouquets to a couple of the baskets and feel like you live inside the pages of BHG magazine!  I’ve just started a collection of baskets and hope to have enough for a window soon!

I bet even I could do this!

I bet a lot of us farmhouse loving creatures have ladders around like this one from The Honeycomb Home.  Mine is covered with quilts and standing behind the door in our bedroom.  I could stuff them somewhere else and bring the ladder out and display a few flowers.  Maybe dry a few bunches and see what happens?  I’ve not done that before but spring time sounds like a good time to start.

Empty pots say Spring too!

Spring time is probably my favorite time to go to the gardening stores.  Sadly I’m there a lot.  Since I don’t have a green thumb, I need to replace the poor little things frequently.  Especially if I don’t want a letter from the HOA. Truth be told… I hate spending the money but love the look of flowers, dirt and dark mulch.  If anyone has a great idea for spending less money on such things, I’m all ears!  What makes me smile about this photo from Sarah Joy Blog is that I could accomplish this look without spending a ton of money.  A watering can sitting beside a stack of pots with a cute sign can give off a spring vibe.

You know I have to include one of my ideas, right?!

This one is all about color.  I love all things pink and think using splashes of your favorite color for spring decor will always make an impression and put a smile on your face.  The idea for hanging a tea towel in an empty frame is a great spring decor idea too.  You can see the rest of that post by clicking here.  BTW, I also have a Pinterest board called “For the love of Pink” in case you’d like to see it.  My oh my, it is chock full of bea-YOU-ti-ful.

My “Spring and Summer Time Decorating” Pinterest board has more than a few ideas if you’d like to follow along.

Oh those pink pillows! You just gave me permission to put pink in my (blue and white) living room. 🙂 Pink has been my unwaveringly favorite color since I was a little girl. (My dear mom let me paint pink flowers across every border of my bedroom.) These days, I’m well aware that I often love something just because it’s pink! Love the living room! Thanks for the inspiration!

Karen it sounds like we would have been besties from a young age. I LOVE PINK! You may find this weird but the decals on my car are pink. They look great though, I promise. Not tacky at all! I get people asking about them quite frequently and they sound like they want them and aren’t judging. LOL. I’d add fuchsia to a blue and white room any day of the week! I think it would look aaahhhmazing!

At your great suggestion, I’m heading to Home Goods to look for fuchsia pillows tomorrow! And I’ve been toying with the idea of making decals for my blog. Amazingly, pink is not the color of my blog, but boy, I’m tempted!

I knew from the first moment I started a blog that pink would be somewhere on the pages. I think pink and green are a wonderful and encouraging color combo. One day try changing the yellow banner at the top of your page to pink and see what happens. 🙂 Have fun at Home Goods!

Absolutely will try! Thanks so much Cindy!

Beautiful inspiration, if I had room I’d do the ladder with dried flowers. Of course, mine would be lavender.

I’m going to follow this board. Thanks for sharing

Cindy, Pink is so my MY color, that my nickname is Pinky, and even the license plate on my car is PINKY-. Years ago, when I lived in an old house in Boston, I even painted my house pink, and at one time I had a pink pick up truck. I just followed your board. As for your plant-killing, I recently bought a shed, a huge shed, from a closed garden center. It came full of her unsold garden supply stock and I am selling off the contents. Some things that might help you would be a timer attached to your spigot that would water your plants automatically so you don’t forget. Also, I have boxes of Compost tea. You add a packet to a gallon watering can and then water your plants to fertilize them with no chemicals. If you like check out my FB MarketPlace shop called MooseHollowFarm.

Pinky, we too could be great friends. I’d love to live in a pink house and drive a pink pick up truck! Thanks for the great advice. I’ll check out the FB site. 🙂

Yep, it’s me for sure! I’m also ready for spring but not the mosquitoes and humidity. Those are total bummers.

This post has me all kinds of ready for Spring, Cindy! I love all the pops of pink and green and you already know my favorite color is white. Those baskets in the kitchen were fantastic too. The texture is super awesome. Hugs, CoCo

I showed the baskets to my oldest daughter and said I neeeed to find lots of baskets. She said, why, that’s ugly. Can you believe that?! Kids. 🙄

Thank you for the fix of spring. Here in Maine we have dirty snowbanks and MUD! At least the sky is a gorgeous blue and the wind will dry out the mud. I love pink, but especially pink roses, faux ones too in vases and on old dishes. Loved the baskets over the window as a “valance.” Mine are hung on beams in the master bedroom. I can believe a kid thinking the baskets are ugly. I grew an appreciation of color and texture after a college weaving course in ’72! She just hasn’t lived enough yet!

    • March 14, 2020 / 2:03 pm

Exactly Kathy! I told her the baskets were beautiful and so fun. She will one day come to her senses. I’m sure of it. Thanks so much for the visit and comment. And I bet your baskets are faaaabuuulous!
