Farmhouse Friday Link Party #198

Spread the love

Hello my sweet friends.  Not only is today Farmhouse Friday Link Party #198 but it’s also Good Friday.  The day some of us spend remembering the crucifixion of Christ and all He went through so we could live with him forever.  Christians (me) call it “good” Friday because the good thing is that His death provided the perfect atoning sacrifice for sin and through Him, our own sins can be forgiven. When we accept Jesus Christ’s payment for sin, he washes away our sin and restores our right standing with God; God’s mercy and grace make salvation possible and we receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

When I think about it, I tear up because I am not worthy.  If y’all haven’t seen the 2004 movie, The Passion of the Christ, I urge you to watch it.  Yeah, these days it will seem a little cheesy in parts but look beyond that.  See the story and what He went through for me, for you, for everyone.  I’ve never ever in my life been in a movie theater unable to control my emotions.  I cried and I mean ugly cried.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5

But then there is Easter.  The day we celebrate His resurrection and death is swallowed up in victory!  Just typing that out makes me want to stand up and sing – Oh Victory in Jesus, my savior forever.  He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood and so on.  Then as we pray over our meal today in celebration of Easter, there will me more tears.  But that’s okay, my family is used to it and they are good tears.

I could go on for days and days typing out everything I feel and think about my Savior but I think that’s for another day or a book – LOL!  If you’ve missed what I did earlier this week…

You just made my month CoCo. Most of the time when I post anything about the Lord, I lose subscribers. And that’s okay with me. I can’t stop talking about the best thing that ever happened to this world! Enjoy your Easter and video that egg hunt with your parents!

    Cindy,
Sharing your faith is part of who you are! “Well done thou good and faithful, servant.” For some reason, don’t know why, I thought my kind of posts were not the kind you wanted on your weekly linky party. But, today, I read over your guidelines again, and did not read anything that required my post to be “farmhouse’. Of course, I am in the country and you could call my house a French Country farmhouse if you use your imagination a little.

So, today I linked up, and listed Farmhouse Friday Link Party with my list of linky parties. Hope to “party on” in the future.

    Happy Easter

He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him! He plunged me, to VICTORY beneath the cleansing flood!

    Happy Easter!

    • April 3, 2021 / 8:17 am

Oh my golly you made my week! I have very very fond memories of singing that in church. Our pastor loved it so much when we sang he would stand on his tip toes when we got to the word VICTORY! Thank you Amber and Happy Easter to you too!

Happy Easter to you and your family. I agree with you. IAM sure not worthy of all the pain my Savior went through for me. And the stripes on His back for my healing. He TRUELY is the same. Yesterday today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 I have seen this movie and have it on DVD. But have never been able to watch it again….it is like no other movie ever made on our Lords life. May the Lord richly bless you my sister.

    • April 3, 2021 / 8:18 am

I feel the same way about that movie. It’s heart wrenching. I think if more people would see it they’d straighten up! Hope your Easter is a blessed one. Thank you Linda, Big hugs
