Farmhouse Friday Link Party #182
Spread the love

Happy Thanksgiving!  Did you eat more than you planned, watch a movie, take a walk or play a few games?  We did but honestly, standing on my feet all day to cook is getting old.  I think I’m liking the idea of a catered meal from now on.  Now all I have to do is convince my kids and the Mister.  He luuuves his turkey and dressing so I’m not sure how easy a task that will be.  On a more positive note, today is the Farmhouse Friday Link Party #182!  The day we all sit back, relax and check out the farmhouse inspiration.  Bring it on – I’m ready!

This week on the blog we had a Pinterest Challenge and oh my golly, it was so fun and there were so many beautiful ways to turn the one inspiration photo into 19 different and fabulous ideas!  You really should see it so click here for that.

Our first feature is from Stacy Ling.  She is sharing 5 Cozy Farmhouse Christmas Decorating Ideas.  So many cute ideas!

Penny’s Vintage Home created a Simple Nature Themed Christmas Tree and blew me away with how whimsical and elegant it was all at the same time!

Lora B at Create and Ponder showed us 5 Ways to Make Your Outdoor Winter Containers look beautiful.  Between you and me, I learned a lot from this post!

Don’t have a mantel?  No Problem!  Julie at My Wee Abode shares how to Create a Faux Christmas Mantel with a Flocked Garland.  Such a great idea!

LINK PARTY RULES:

  • Since the party is called Farmhouse Friday, we’d like to keep the party farmhouse themed. You don’t have to live in a farmhouse or have farmhouse as your main decor theme in order to share.  We love seeing farmhouse mixed in with other styles and it can be a DIY, decor inspiration or craft.
  • No food or recipe posts please.
  • We are flexible when it comes to defining “farmhouse” so if you are unsure of whether or not your post will fit in the party theme, go ahead and post it and if we feel it doesn’t fit, we’ll delete it – no hard feelings. 🙂
  • It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts only once.
  • The party runs from 6 AM, PST/8 AM, CST on Friday and ends at noon, PST/2 PM, CST on Monday.
  • You aren’t required to link back to this party, but if you do, we greatly appreciate it!
  • A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog and be inspired.  Please don’t post and run.  Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
  • By linking up to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features or roundups.  We’ll make sure to link back to your post and/or this party on the week it was featured.

Bloggers post throughout the day so come back later this weekend to see more farmhouse style inspiration.  And don’t forget to PIN it!

NOW LET’S HAVE SOME PARTY FUN!  IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE, JUST CLICK ON THE PHOTO.

One of the things I loved about your post was the super cool container you used. I love that look but would never have thought to use that. Soooooo copying that! I’m rested but not able to relax today. On to more Christmas decorating! Thanks Lora

I’m amazed at Lora’s fabulous evergreen container; such a showstopper. Take it easy the rest of the weekend Cindy and let your family feed YOU! thanks so much for hosting!

Hahahahahahaha Debra. Wouldn’t that be something – my family feeding me? I’m super grateful for their help yesterday. I would still be in bed today if they hadn’t. Off to remove the rest of the fall decor today. Bring on the Christmas! Woo hoo!

Happy Thanksgiving, Cindy! Several years ago my Mom started asking us to help by bringing a dish to family dinners. It was super weird at first but it was actually fun to try new dishes and have my Mom enjoy the meal for once. Now we all pitch in and help (even the 4 year old knows to bring his plate to Popi who works the sink) and my Mom sits down and enjoys a cup of coffee. She is VERY June Cleaver-ish so I know it was difficult for her to speak up but looking back I’m so glad she did. You deserve a break too ๐Ÿ™‚ Big hugs, CoCo

Awe, that sounds like a wonderful family tradition. And btw, I totally love the Popi name! I need a bigger kitchen and to learn to stop controlling things. Thank you CoCo!
