Hello friends!  It’s time for another link-up week on Farmhouse Friday 460.  Only 4 more days until it’s officially fall!  That means we can all go crazy for autumn everything and not feel guilty for doing so!  I’m hoping it cools down enough to tackle our porchette!

And of course, it’s time to hear more about me during my birthday month of September!  🙂  If you could see me right now, I’m still in my pajamas and waiting for the Mister to bring me some lunch.  Spoiled rotten should be number one on the list of – What Is Cindy Like.  LOL

Number Seven:  My sister and I were always driven and picked up from school by my mom.  One day in middle school, I told her I wanted to ride the bus.  The next day came, the bell rang, and I went to the back of the school to find my bus.  To make a long dramatic story short, I chickened out and ran back through the school to see if I could find someone to take me home.  You can probably guess, Mom was sitting right where she always was, waiting to see me run to the car.  All she did was smile and ask how my day was.

Number Eight:  I was a cheerleader in middle school.  Believe me, my only qualification for the job was that I had a big mouth and loved to smile.  Obviously, in my mind, I was amazing.  Now I’m super grateful that back in those days we didn’t have a cellphone with a camera or video at the ready.  Go Hornets!

Number Nine:  My favorite subject in middle school was Homemaking.  I was hooked when we made a meal for the class, had floral centerpieces at each table, set the table with placemats, cloth napkins, real plates, etc.  And I remember using vintage amber colored Fostoria glasses.  That was way before I knew what vintage was.  I learned what it meant to host and set a nice-looking table.  I was sad when they took that class out of schools (at least here in TX), but it gave me a chance to do that for my family.  Good times, good times.
