Hey, hey, hey! Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 423. As you sit in your living room, are you looking at fall decor or Christmas? If I look to the right, there’s a half-decorated Christmas mantel, garland on the floor and a couple of trees with nothing on them. To my right, there’s a checked chair with a rust colored throw blanket over the arm and a pumpkin sitting on the table. It’s a hot mess!

My back hurts, my feet hurt, and I could use a massage. Anyone else in the same predicament? If so, my heart (which seems to be the only thing moving fast) goes out to you. May we both get a good night’s rest and wake energized again and ready to tackle the day.
I’m always blown away by your posts. How do y’all find the time? I can barely find time to take a shower and I don’t even have little kids at home! Anyway, our feature theme this week is Helpful Christmas Hints. That means there’s information and diy’s put together.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 423
Be sure and read Lynn’s post from Living Large in a Small House. She has a beautifully decorated French Country style tree and several hints for decorating, sizing a tree, etc. She definitely has a handle on the 411.
I love how pretty, vibrant and unique this Christmas wreath turned out. You won’t believe what the underneath looks like! Pop over to see how Libbie from A Life Unfolding made this fabulous dried fruit and floral wreath. And don’t forget to pin it!
You may have seen handmade ornaments made by decoupaging napkins, but look closely, they are quite different. Hop over to Sonata Home Design and see how Missy customizes them to her many many trees!
I’ve always wanted to bleach the plethora of pinecones we have at the farmhouse. Well, since Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse share the tips, tricks, pros, and cons, now I can! I think the look is super cool.

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 423 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like – Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is; please link your posts only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog, so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across social media accounts, which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc., with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you, friends. We can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!
Cindy,
I have the outside of my house decorated for Christmas along with the upstairs, the Den and the Powder Room, Just finished changing the DR over from Halloween to Christmas except for the Tree which I hope to do today…The Kitchen is still Falloween and the Living Room is still Fall…I have about 10 more days of Christmas decorating to get though as I like the house done before Thanksgiving…It usually takes me anywhere from 26 to 30 dyas to decorate the whole house so I need to start early….
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 8, 9 and 10!!!
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are having a great week!!
Hugs,

Wow Debbie, you are dedicated. If my house feels jumbled to me, I get grouchy which is why as I get older I do less and less decorating. Wish I felt like doing it all. Hope you enjoy the process and thank you for linking up.
Hi Cindy, I love seeing all of the holiday projects! Thank you so much for the feature. Hope you have a great weekend. Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Yes, just around the corner! I hope the house is finished by then! Thank you for linking up and it’s my pleasure to feature your super cute post.
Hope your back starts feeling better soon! I struggle with spine issues too, and now that the weather’s turned colder, everything seems to ache more. I’m trying not to think about the long winter ahead…

Oh gosh, I hadn’t thought about the weather getting cold. Being cold and in pain is no fun! Hope you stay comfy cozy this year. Happy Thanksgiving!
I’ve found that I really have to pace myself this time of year, especially when it comes to decorating and all that goes with it! We really appreciate all the work you put into welcoming us all to this link-up each week, Cindy — it’s such a lovely space to connect and share ideas, especially this time of year! Have a great weekend!

I appreciate that Laura, thank you. I need to stop saying yes to things. I hosted homegroup last night and even though the ladies were gracious and kind, I’m sure they were feeling sorry for me. LOL.
Happy Friday, my friend! Thank you for sharing my wreath this week. Have a wonderful weekend. xx

You are so welcome. It looked amazing! Using those colors for Christmas has got to be the happiest house on the block.
Good morning, Cindy, thanks for the linkup party. Happy weekend.

I don’t decorate for Christmas till Thanksgiving is over. I don’t like seeing Christmas stuff too early. Thanks for the party.

My husband just mentioned to me after 30+ years of decorating, that he also prefers Thanksgiving to have it’s very own season. Thanks so much Amy. Happy Fall!
Gorgeous features! Thanks for hosting, my friend! Hope you feel better!

Thank you AMber. I feel better but I think until I can sit and take it easy, my back isn’t going to stop griping. Well, maybe I can after the new year?! lol!
I’m in the same boat as you, my friend… except, I’m not getting any decorating done! 😉 I’m late to the party rounds this week! I finally got the tutorial done for my cabinets, and I’ve linked that post along with a sugared fruit DIY. Thanks for hosting!

Sounds like we both need a vacation. Are you going to see any friends this year? Hope your Thanksgiving gives you some rest yet energizes you to get things done – if that’s your goal of course. 😉 For me, it’s forgetting about the house and getting out to do something fun with friends. Big hugs and thank you for linking up!
Cindy—Thank you so much for featuring me on the hop this week! You are so kind. The tree in my office is really special, as I spend most of my time during the day in the space. Honestly, I’ve considered leaving it up year round 🙂

I can see why, it’s a gorgeous tree! Thank YOU for linking up. And I vote for keeping it up year round.
