FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 304

Spread the love

Greetings friends!  Y’all ready for Farmhouse Friday 304?!  Yay, me too.  I hope your week went well.  On Sunday we attended a birthday party where I thought I was going to melt.  Part of it was outdoors, 100 degrees and 70% humidity.  Then during the evening we had golf ball, tennis ball, baseball and even grapefruit sized hail.  Our weather people had no clue and gave us no warning.  Not to knock their skills.  That’s just Texas.  I bet they love it here because our weather is so unpredictable.  Makes their job much more interesting.

Thankfully, the damage at our house was minimal.  It could have been much worse.  People have been killed and severely injured being out in such large hail.  Our neighborhood is filled with roofing and window replacement signs.  On a brighter note, the following days were nice and cool!  It’s been fabulous.

I’m so glad your damage from the hail was minimal. We get some pretty intense hail here in Nebraska as well. It can be a little scary when a strong hailstorm whips in and out!

Thank you so much for featuring my abstract flag project. I was pretty nervous before the first pour but then figured out how truly fun it is! Thanks for hosting a great link party!

We were just saying the same thing earlier this week. I think our luck has run out. When I walked outside yesterday it felt as if I had walked into a sauna. The air shouldn’t feel wet! Happy times. Stay cool Sandra!

I’m so glad you guys are all ok, Cindy! It’s been storming here all week and we’re in for lots of rain again next week. It wouldn’t be so bad because we need the rain but gah the humidity is no joke. Sending you lots of hugs! Thanks so much for hosting each week and stay safe, CoCo

    • June 16, 2023 / 12:26 pm

I don’t remember feeling humidity like this in years. Maybe it’s because I’m older and less tolerating? LOL. Y’all stay cool too. XO

I always said if I made such bad predictions as most weather people are doing these days, I’d have been reengineered out of my job in a skinny minute! It’s really hard to believe how bad they are with new models and technology, and it’s not just in TX! Hope your damage can be fixed quickly.
Thanks for the party, Cindy, and have a good weekend.

  11. June 16, 2023 / 2:37 pm
