FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 303

Spread the love

Happy Friday friends!  As I was checking out all the links this week for Farmhouse Friday 303.  The hubs came downstairs and said “let’s take a short vacation. I have Juneteenth off”.  I first thought what the heck, he just got off for Memorial Day.  Then I thought, aaahh, I love summer.  No, not for the dang heat but for all the holidays.  The Mister is an IT guy and works for a bank.  That means he has off at least one holiday just about every month.  If you don’t have one of those, get one.  Not a new husband – a job with perks like that.  Also, encourage a family member to be a flight attendant.  We get free flights anywhere because of our middle daughter Macy.  I know, it’s a real challenge. 😉

I better hurry up and get this post written and look up some places to go before he changes his mind.  But first, in case you missed this weeks summer tour of homes hosted by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life, click here to see 30 homes giving excellent ideas for seasonal decorating.  I loved something from every single home.

Cindy, next week is my birthday and we’re going to Granbury to stay at the Hotel Lucy. It’s our second trip to this awesome boutique hotel across from the lake. Great shopping in the downtown square and good restaurants. It’s about an hour from Dallas so it can’t be that far from you.

Happy Birthday Carol! We’ve gone to Granbury a few times. Especially when we lived in Fort Worth. One of my favorite places to shop is Witherspoon’s. I’ve come home with lots of great (and cheap) stuff from there! Makes me want to go back. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Lucy. We’ve never stayed the night but have talked about it. I know you’ll have a fantastic time.
