Spread the love

Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 415.

I could use some help and encouragement.  My Facebook account was hacked and has been disabled.  That also means my Instagram account is under review.  It could be months before I hear back from them.  I’m hoping they reinstate my account.  I’m very sad about it.  That is a lot of years worth of photos and work down the drain.

So if you could please click here and follow me again on my new IG page, that would be helpful and I’d be so grateful.

On another note, can you believe summer is gone and autumn starts on Monday?  Where did the year go?  I am giddy inside and out about the upcoming season and I have a feeling you are too.  So this week, our feature theme is Bring on the fall!

Some friends and I shared our love for chippy paint in the Lifestyle of Love Hop this week.  If you missed it, please click over and leave a comment.  I could use the encouragement.

COOKIE BARS WITH CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTERY’all might think this peanut butter chocolate chip bar recipe isn’t exactly a fall dessert.  But look at the colors!  The golden browns are giving fall feels for sure!  And that combo is perfect for everyday if you ask me.  Thank you Judy at Recipes Simple for sharing it with us.  Yum!

Oh so sorry to hear about your FB and IG accounts. That is so frustrating. I just don’t understand why people do it. I hope you can get it resolved quickly. Have a restful weekend!

    • September 19, 2025 / 10:44 am

Thank you Jennifer. I don’t understand it either. How about they put their minds toward doing good instead of evil? :/

  4. September 19, 2025 / 8:32 am

Yay for the first day of fall on Monday! I’m so ready for cooler weather so I can wear seasonal clothes and not be hot LOL! How about you? Thanks so much for the feature this week Cindy! Big hugs my friend!

Thanks Shelley, me too. It’s been a couple of weeks of torture around here trying to communicate with them. We are supposed to have a garage sale tomorrow and it’s 90+ degrees. Bleh.

    Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear about your FB page. I clicked on something and this bug screen came up saying my acct. was suspended due to a virus and to further click on something else. Knowing better, I shut down the computer and rebooted and that screen disappeared as it was a scam , like I suspected..
    My Link Ups for today’s party are # 29, 30 and 31!
Thanks so much for hosting!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are enjoying your week and you are doing well…

It’s great to hear people are smart about scams! I don’t understand people who think that’s funny. Thank you for linking up. I really appreciate it.

Thanks for hosting, looking forward to all the Fall posts, now that we have our tip-toes into Fall here in Chicagoland despite 80’s still temps. Sandi

    • September 19, 2025 / 10:50 am

We are having a garage sale tomorrow and it’s 90+ degrees. Yuck. We were hoping when we planned this last month it Mother Nature would be a little more kind. Have a great weekend Sandra.

  8. September 19, 2025 / 10:35 am

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about your social media accounts. A similar thing happened to me. (If you want to commiserate, you can read my blog post about it here: https://lifetalesbooks.blogspot.com/2024/07/ps-your-social-media-isnt-actually-yours.html) I heard back from them in about a month, but I think that’s only because it was linked to a larger company that had more sway than little old me. It was SO frustrating! I don’t keep my photos there, so I can only imagine how you’re feeling. 🙁 I hope they will get on your case soon and get it resolved!

Anyway, I’m new to your fun linkup and happy to be here. I followed you at your new IG (I’m Photo & Story Treasures on IG), and I popped over to your chippy paint post. Oh my! So lovely and beautiful! And I’m in love with that clear simmer pot, too. 🙂 Thank you for hosting! I’ll leave a couple of my own posts then see what others have posted and leave some comment love. Have a good weekend! I really hope they get your social media back up again. <3

As much as I’m grateful someone understands my plight, I am sad you went through it too. I’ll check out the post for sure and thank you so much for the comment and the follow on IG. I will reciprocate as we all need and enjoy comments and likes. THank you for the encouragement today.

      • September 19, 2025 / 4:47 pm

Thank you! It was so stressful. I hope yours gets fixed ASAP. I really appreciated your comment on my blog post about my experience, too. 🙂

        • September 20, 2025 / 4:10 pm

Aww, you’re so welcome! To me, comments are like hugs and we could all use some encouragement these days. Hope you have a great weekend.

Hi, I am soooo sorry that you are still struggling with this. It took 9 months to get mine back and it was hard not to feel defeated. I will share your new IG in my newsletter this weekend and keep us updated when the old one returns!

    • September 19, 2025 / 11:09 am

Oh my goodness, that is so sweet of you to do. I would so appreciate it. I can’t imagine 9 months of defeat but you’ve given me hope of getting it back. I don’t miss FB but growing my IG account again is frustrating. Thank you Libbie. You are awesome!

OH, yikes, and thank you for featuring my simmer pot this week! I have it on my stove right now, and it smells yummy!

    • September 19, 2025 / 11:10 am

Did I miss a link in your post about where to get the pot? I’d love to order it through your link. 🙂

  11. September 19, 2025 / 11:55 am

Happy Fall, Cindy! I didn’t even realize it isn’t until Monday, just assumed either the 20th or 21st. My grass hasn’t been cut in a month – no rain in a month, so yes, I am really looking forward to all the fall smells and feelings of cozying things up. I’ll even look forward to working in the garden to clean up once the temps calm down and the ground is more than dry cracks. Love that you bring the visuals of the season to us.

    • September 20, 2025 / 4:06 pm

It’s crazy how fast it crept up on us! We are still mowing here and the mosquitos are as big as birds! Fingers crossed fall comes soon. Hope you have a great weekend.

  12. September 19, 2025 / 1:26 pm

Thanks so much for hosting each week, Cindy. I know it takes a bit of effort and planning, AND motivation! Hugs!

    • September 20, 2025 / 4:08 pm

Girl, I could use some motivation these days. Seems like everything is falling apart. The blog numbers are way down and I can’t figure out why. TFB hack and IG suspension is sadder than sad and it’s still so hot I don’t want to get up in the attic. I need a blogging guru or lesson. And I mean quick! Got anyone you’d recommend that would spend an hour with me? Or heck, just take it over and fix it?!

I read somewhere that the same thing happened to someone, and she took them to small claims court. She had her account reinstated quickly.
If I can find her account, where she blogged about the entire ordeal, and why she went to small claims court, I’ll send it your way. Cindy McManus

    • September 20, 2025 / 4:11 pm

Oh wow, thank you! That would be awesome!

  14. September 20, 2025 / 11:04 am

    Cindy,
So sad you are disheartened. Losing work you’ve been doing for years sucks. But you still have all the wonderful relationships that you’ve grown here, and people are so much more important than social media accounts:) We love you! The Lord will restore what has been eaten by the locusts. Keep being your amazingly creative self and being our fearless blog hop leader! God has you in this space to shine your light:)

    • September 20, 2025 / 4:13 pm

You have no idea how much that means to me and how much I needed to read that! I will put on my big girl pants, be looking forward to what the Lord is doing and shine on! 🙂 You are the best, Lora. Thank you Lora.

I have followed you, and I’m praying that you get your accounts back. I’m so sorry that happened!

    • September 20, 2025 / 4:14 pm

Thank you so much Jeanine, I truly appreciate it. I love my readers and you’ve made my day.
