Spread the love

Happy Friday friends and welcome back to Farmhouse Friday 329!  It’s hard to believe a month has passed and we are looking at winter decorating, Valentine’s Day, and Super Bowl posts.

Have you packed up Christmas yet?  Did you go through a period of uncoziness (that’s my own made-up word) when all the decor was put away?  I still have most of my Christmas decor out only because I didn’t do much (remember the Achilles tendonitis boot) and it easily transitioned into winter decor.

If you missed my new year post on telling the powers that be to stuff it with their 2024 trends, click here or below for it and stand with me!  🙂  This year is all about being our own niche!

Happy New Year, friend! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season (despite your boot!) Most all of my decor is still up, but we spent the entire break traveling to see family. The trees will come down this weekend and then we’ll see how motivated I am to do the rest of it. Ha!

I get it! I’ve been picking out Christmas stuff up as I walk by and moving it to the dining room table. Once it’s all gathered I’ll put it away. Could take me another week. Hoping to get to the trees on Sunday but this weekend and next is plum full! Although… I get a little more motivated when I see a bunch of pink/Valentine’s Day ideas. I love me some pink! Thanks or the link up Jen.

Lovely, but a looong month! So glad you’re back! Hope you’re healing well from that pesky tendon. Getting everything put away is a bear. Thanks for having us over Cindy! Happy January.

Thanks so much! I opted not to get the surgery yet because of the stupidly long healing process but I’m sure one YEAR I’ll have the time. 😉 At least I’m slowly getting Christmas put away. It’s more because I like the way it looks and less about the boot this go round. Happy New Year.

Glad to have you back, and happy new year! Love the features, as usual. That cute high chair! I have a vintage step stool that I need to makeover, as well… that way I can keep it in my photos instead of moving it to my bedroom each time I do a kitchen post!

    • January 7, 2024 / 1:23 pm

LOL! I think we all have those things we have to move out of a photo. 😉 Cheers to a great 2024! Thanks Julie.

These are great, hot drinks. Vintage furniture redo. Go thru the scarf bin and aluminum + math = decor.

    Wonderful Friday post.

Thanks so much Cheri. Happy New Year!

Happy to see Farmhouse Friday back! Thrist Priority makes some of the best recipes!
I am in full swing January mode, which means all the Christmas at home and the antique mall are stored away, I am organizing (mostly paperwork), and dreaming of spring gardening! The reality outside is rainy and cold, but at least we didn’t have snow from winter storm Ember.
Thanks for returning to host. I definitely enjoyed your post on not following trends. My home is in the state of winter uncoziness, except for pulling out throws when watching tv or reading, and leaving a few holiday textiles in place.
Hope your achilles is healing well!

I am slowly getting the Christmas put away and dreaming of spring as well. The urge to clean and organize hits me the most. I’m jealous that you already have things put away. I’ve left the decorations because I got an electric scrubber thingy for Christmas and have been going crazy with it. The baseboards haven’t looked this good in ages! Stay cozy and warm friend. I’ll think of you when I sit down exhausted from scrubbing some more today and watcha movie. What sort of movies do you like to watch anyway? Got any good recommendations?
