FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 278

Spread the love

Hello beautiful friends!  It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 278 – yay!  I love this time of year because people are so much nicer, the weather is wonderful and I get my head out of my list of to-do’s and enjoy life.  Are you getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving?  It’s only 2 weeks away!  I’m looking forward to a dressed up table and the smell of turkey, ham and sautéed onions wafting through the house.  But the most of all I love hearing the conversations and laughter.  I can hardly wait!

We’ve been blowing and going this month so I didn’t get around to a new post this week.  Actually, when you read this, I’ll be headed to Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas to (fingers crossed) see beautiful trees with colorful leaves and take in the Lords gorgeous landscape.  I checked the weather (you know I’m obsessed) and it’s going to be in the 20’s at night and low 50’s during the day.  I will LOVE it but the Mister is going to come back with less booty from freezing it off.  LOLOLOL!  And you also know I wouldn’t enjoy it if we were camping so we’re staying in the lodge. ๐Ÿ˜‰

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 278

This week with so many thinking about Thanksgiving, I thought I’d share some of the scrumptious recipes I found on Farmhouse Friday 277 last week.  My goodness, y’all can cook!  Hope you find something worth pinning and trying.  I know I did!

apple cake with caramel and nuts in glass panLet’s start with Stephanie from Spaceships and Laser Beams.  She shared her Apple Dapple Cake.  Just look at this thing.  I can’t even imagine this lasting a day at my house.

pumpkin cookies with leaf cutouts on topHave you ever heard of Pumpkin Pie Cookies?  I had not but thanks to Lenny at Fat Dad Foodie, I’m drooling!  He makes it look easy and these little cuties will make quite the statement on any holiday platter!

smoked stuffed apples with caramel drizzleY’all, I seriously can’t get over the recipes this week.  Here’s another apple recipe I’ve never heard of but am totally doing!  Kristy at Mommy Hates Cooking (a title I can agree with) shared Smoked Apples.  Just look at that!  These should be in every restaurant around town!

Thanks so much for linking up each week.  I love looking at what you’ve been up to lately.  Happy November Friends!

Oh Cindy, Petit Jean is so gorgeous! We went several years ago and so enjoyed it. We camped in our RV though and it wasn’t bad, but yes the lodge is totally amazing! That view is spectacular, Hopefully the trees still have some color. Stay warm and have fun!

I was surprised at just how gorgeous it really was! The views and leaf colors were amazing. Loved hiking and the sunsets were breathtaking at the overlooks. Did you know there was a Richter (our last name) Overlook? That was fun and the sunsets were stunning. I didn’t want to leave! Y’all need to go back. So beautiful.

Holy moly, Cindy! I brought my Thanksgiving place setting (#52), but I only came for the desserts! These ALL look fabulous. I will have one of each. I am not crazy for turkey, no worries!
Hope you have a great weekend. We’ve been dealing with Nicole that past 18 hrs with steady rains. I think it’s about time for her to go!

    • November 14, 2022 / 3:57 pm

Did everything turn out okay? It’s cold and rainy today (Monday) so I’m making out my grocery list for Thanksgiving and it looks like the desserts are going to be the main course this year. LOL!
