Fun Farmhouse Christmas Decor

Wooden deer, tree and snowflake ornament
Spread the love

Hey there!  Did y’all enjoy your weekend?  Did some of you get that extra hour of sleep with the time change?  I didn’t.  I decided to take advantage of it and watch one more Hallmark movie instead.  LOL.  I also did a little Christmas shopping.  For some of you starting now is way to early.  But for me, it’s so much fun.  I love being surrounded by Christmas decor.  If our Christmas tree is up before Thanksgiving, it doesn’t make me less thankful.  It makes me even more grateful and more happy while standing at the stove all day.  Anyway, I wanted to show you the fun farmhouse Christmas decor I purchased to get me started.

Fun Farmhouse Christmas Decor

wooden trees with garland

These wooden trees are adorable.  They are solid wood and will work anywhere.  They are perfect when you need that little something extra on a mantel, in a centerpiece or standing alone on a bookshelf or side table.  Some of the items I purchased have a Nordic or Scandinavian style that I find charming.  I actually have a few other wooden trees and a deer head that I got last year that will coordinate well so these little cuties jumped right into my basket at Home Goods.  If you can’t find these at your Home Goods, below are a few affiliate linked wood trees that are similar and would be perfect for a farmhouse Christmas theme.

Garland comes in all sizes and colors and works not just for the tree but for the mantel, over a doorway, hanging in a window or above a bed.  I got this chunky birch wood and snowflake garland at the store I love in Montgomery TX called Kerr’s Home.  The garland (affiliate link) below is from Kirkland’s.  I plan to get another this week.

There’s that Scandinavian style look again.  Isn’t it fun?  All of this came from Home Goods too.  I find the hand painted scrolls and patterns so interesting.  The chubby little snowflake ornament will not hang on a tree but probably on a door knob, on a lamp switch or maybe a window.  Definitely somewhere more prominent so it can be seen.

I found this deer at Kirkland’s and even though it isn’t exactly like the one I have, it can be painted and have a ribbon tied around the neck.  Oh, what if you painted scrolls over the entire body?

That would be super cute!

fabric tree, cloth tree nad evergreen bush

The red striped tree is from Home Goods as is the evergreen tree inside the white ceramic jar.  The other white cotton tree came from Kerr’s Home.  Of course they are different styles but I’m a different style kinda girl.  I’ll mix and match and put one style with another because it’s about what I like no matter if others think it “works” together or not.  I actually have a really cute idea for making a few more of the trees similar to the white one.  Look for that soon!

evergreen candle ring

The last thing I purchased this weekend was this evergreen candle ring from Kerr’s Home.  I’ll add them to the candle sconces I got at Vintage Market Days last month.  For me there’s no such thing as too much greenery at Christmas.  I couldn’t pass up this fun farmhouse Christmas decor and just leave it on the shelves.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

What is your favorite look for Christmas?  Do you keep it simple?  Do you like the traditional red and green colors?  Maybe you are a blue and silver fan or like to go with whatever is new and exciting?  And when do you start decorating?  Let me know in the comments!

Happy Decorating Friends!

When will you start decorating Terrie. And do you do it all at once or room by room? I’m so curious!

I love your new Christmas decor and can’t wait to see what you do. I am a blue and white, with lots of different things made and bought by my sons and grandchildren through the years. I have trees, nativity scenes, bells and animals, they are very precious to me and enjoy getting them out every year. I start decorating the day after we eat Thanksgiving dinner.

Oooh, blue and white – I bet that’s looks so pretty. Thank you Marlene for telling us! I love that you have so many hand made items from your grandkids too. I was either a terrible momma because I didn’t keep a lot of what my kids made but honestly, I think it was they didn’t make a lot. I’m going with the latter.

And I’ve been looking for a nativity scene for years and years and years but can’t seem to find one I just love. I want one something awful! Enjoy you Thanksgiving. Big hugs.

Hope Peanut is better soon and you are able to start your Christmas decorating. I’ve gotten the bins out but haven’t gotten all the fall put away yet. Had to stop to go vote. Fingers crossed I get it put away tonight!

I loved all of your different Christmas trees! If I had a mantle, I would line them up as a forest, all different kinds mixed together. We don’t have Kirkland’s in Maine. Guess I’ll have to settle for TJ Maxx as Home Goods are an hour away! I have an inexpensive Nativity set–a Fontanini-looking one which has a Maine moose mixed in with the camels! And a ceramic set with a Maine black bear, a cub,a penguin, and a wolf snuck in just for fun! Our church fair is this Sat. and I mixed up cooky dough today so I can bake tomorrow…and continue the insanity!!

Oh my goodness – bring on the insanity! I love it! And your nativity scene sounds so fun! They should all have a moose. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Enjoy the fair. Maybe youโ€™ll find some wooden Christmas trees there. Our HomeGoods has a ton of them so it may be worth the hour drive. ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Well, that is some chunky looking garland. Amazing how much more fun those things look when you put them together. Very festive!

Thanks. It will be hung somewhere in Navasota. Maybe on the new mantel coming soon! ๐Ÿ˜‰
