Howdy Folks! I’m so glad you’re visiting Farmhouse Friday 452.
Y’all know I’m obsessed with the weather, right? Well, today my car said it was 107 degrees. And don’t even get me started on the humidity or the heat index (whatever that is). I hope it’s cooler where you live.
While running some errands this week, I saw cars from New York, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida, and Arizona. And all I could think about was that they picked the wrong time to vacation in Texas. Why, just why? Ok, maybe Florida and Arizona understand, but I bet the Wisconsin visitors are barely able to breathe.

So, this week the theme will be called The Great Cool Down! Do you have a favorite ice cream recipe, or maybe a nice cold drink to share? Maybe you’ve been on a trip where the temps are pleasant and want to give us some tips. Whatever it is, I can hardly wait to get my mind off the heat and dive into your linkups.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 452
The theme last week was Christmas in July. Let me show you the four features.
You will not believe the profusion of vintage Christmas repurposed-junk ideas from Lora Bloomquist. I lost count of how many recommendations she had in this one post. You have got to pop in and check them all out!
If this isn’t adorable, I am blind. Just look how cute. MaryJo at Masterpieces of My Life has a ton of great Christmas Craft ideas in her post. You will definitely find more than one or two you’ll want to get done before December!
Cindy over at Seasonal and Holiday Recipe Exchange shared an easy, delicious-sounding recipe for Coconut Ice Cream Snowballs! It made me think of my childhood and of how much I love coconut. I can hardly wait to make these. They can help with this summer heat too!
Aren’t these wooden mushroom ornaments from Michelle at Thistle Key Lane delightful?! I love them! Pop in, think about the fun time you’ll have making them, and invite your friends over. And don’t forget to share and pin it!

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 452 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. However, it would be nice to see – Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is; please link your posts only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM CST on Monday.
- I don’t require a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog, so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- Try to link up something that pertains to the weekly theme!
- By linking a post with the weekly theme, you have a chance to be featured here at next week’s party, which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc., with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you, friends. I can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!
Cindy, I’m so over this heat! ๐
As always, thank you for hosting. Have a great weekend and stay cool.

Girl, me too! I should be used to it living in TX my whole life, but I don’t think anyone can really get used to a hairdryer on high hitting you in the face every time you walk out the door. :/ Thank you Steph for linking up. Hope you have a great weekend as well – inside.
The Colorado Front Range has also been unusually hot this summer, although our humiduty is very low. The skies ahve also been smokey form all the wildfires burning in our state. I’m ready for autumn!

I’m with you, Pat! When I woke up this morning and saw it was cloudy, I immediately smiled and checked the forecast. It’s been a very long time since I was excited for temps in the 90s. Stay frosty my friend.
Hello Cindy, thank you for the linkup. Enjoy your weekend.
Hope the weather will get cooler on your end. Fortuantely we have not had that type of temps and today its a nice breathable 28C.
This week: #28+29+30
We now have two Linkies SSPS and TFT at https://esmesalon.com/seniorsalonpitstop/

Wow! I’d love it. We haven’t gotten down in the low 80s even while sleeping! I’m jealous. Thank you for linking up.
Hi Cindy- You always make me laugh, but those temps are no joke! We’ve had a weird summer in Northers California with temps going high & low. They had predicted ranging in the high 70s this past week, which I was really excited about and then we hit high 80s into 90s. Whatever – still doesn’t compare to your situation. Stay safe & cool. Anyway, about the party- thanks so much for featuring my Christmas in July crafts. I’m hoping to get a new one done before the end of the month- we’ll see. Have a fantastic weekend and stay in the air conditioning! XO- MaryJo

Girl, there is no chance of me going outside. I stopped by an antique store yesterday and told myself I will not be visiting another store until late Sept. Maybe even October depending on how Mother Nature has treated us. Hope you cool down too. I can’t imagine being anywhere near the 70’s until late autumn around here.
You’re so welcome for the feature. I loved your ideas! Happy weekend.
Thanks for the feature, Cindy! Yes, looking at snow pictures will help to think cool:) And make me appreciate summer a little more!

My pleasure Lora. I loved reading your post!
Right now I’m thinking about what I want to do for my 60th birthday coming up in September. My thoughts are Alaska. Or maybe Greenland. :/
Thanks so much for the feature this week Cindy! I’m getting into these themes, sharing some of my delicious cool recipes! ๐

Yay!!! I hope more people do too. Sometimes it’s slim pickins! ๐ Thanks so much. Hope you are staying inside these days.
When I start to complain about the heat waves/humidity we face here in Minnesota, it doesn’t take me long to realize that you’ve got us beat in every way! Thank goodness for air conditioning! I hope you get a bit of relief, Cindy! As always, thanks for the party!

LOL, I’ rather not beat anyone at the heat game. ๐ I’m ready to fly to Minnesota and stay through August! Thanks for linking up.
That is funny about the Wisconsin tourists, because I am from Wisconsin. Those mushrooms are so cute! Thanks for the party.

Well, if you ever get the urge to vacay in TX, take it from me; you do not want to come June – August! But if you do, let me know, and we’ll go to lunch together!
Cindy,
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 70, 71 and 72!!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it….I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!
