Spread the love

Welcome, Fall (finally), and welcome to Farmhouse Friday 420!  I have had the best week, enjoying the cool mornings here.  Still waiting for the afternoons to be in the 60s, but I’m not complaining because the evenings are cooling a bit earlier in the day.  Yesterday, I was able to sit at a restaurant patio and enjoy dinner with two of my lovely friends.

We’ve recently changed the color of our front door.  Noir by Sherwin Williams, to be exact.  As I was looking back at photos of the old color, I came across an older post that made me smile.  A few years ago, the front door decor made me smile and sing almost every day.  Click over to see it for yourself.

The theme this week for the features is called – still inspired to decorate for fall.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  Let’s get started.

    Cindy,
I always wanted a red front door but when I do have it open in the Summer, the red would not have gone well with the colors of my Living Room. So I painted it black on the outside and did a faux wood treatment on the inside so it looks like an old wood door instead of a newer metal one…
    My Link Ups for today’s party are #9, 10 and 11 !
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are having a great week!!

WHen we first moved into the house we are in now, the front door was dark olive green. Gross. I quickly painted it a deep terracotta color and loved it for many years. Then it was a pale greenish-grayish color and now a dark charcoal color. I’ve loved each one! I’m too lazy to try a faux wood treatment but it sounds amazing! Thank you Debbie for linking up. Happy Fall!

Fall IS the best and I hope it sticks around for another month or two! I’m not holding my breath on that one. If we have a late fall, like this year, it’s usually short and winter comes swiftly! We’ll see. I have my fingers crossed. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you MaryJo!
