Howdy friends. I’m so glad you’ve stopped by for Farmhouse Friday 400. As I type that, I think of my friend Michelle from The Painted Hinge. She started the link party, then passed away not long after I joined her. It’s a bit sad that her blog and beautiful photos seem non-existent.
Her blog is gone, denoting that the beautiful photos of her home can’t be found either. So, in remembering Michelle, the features will be about something she really loved – all things home decor and a bit of desserts.
If you missed my two posts this week, please check them out and leave a comment. Comments are like giant hugs to me. The first one below is a Pinterest Challenge. Most of us love those! This time we all decorated coffee tables differently but used the same inspiration photo. Pop in and tell us how we did.
How To Decorate A Coffee Table With Colorful Vintage Pieces – Pinterest Challenge!
I suppose I was in a mood when I wrote the second one. But it’s all about enjoying your home instead of leaving the house. Something I prefer to do more of these days.
These Repurposed Items Have Made This House A Home. Farmhouse photos.
Thank you for reading the other two posts! It means a great deal. Now for the lovely features this week that would have made Michelle smile for sure.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 400!
We’ll start off with a cake to remember Michelle. We both loved cake! This Biscoff Cake recipe from Nathalie at Press Print Party looks and sounds fantastic! I’ve already got it saved!
The rest of the features will be a love of home decorating with vintage pieces. Something Michelle and I had in common. Rachel from The Antique Journey shares how to decorate with patriotic flair which is perfect for today!
Not only do I want those plates, but the handkerchief bouquet is amazing! Pop over and see so many more ideas from MaryJo at Masterpieces of My Life. She’s so clever!
Last but not least, Michelle loved patriotic decorating. This gorgeous idea is from Emily at Le Cultivateur. You MUST pop in and see all of her summer mantel ideas! You’ll say oooh, aaah!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 400 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is, please link your posts only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across social media accounts which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you friends. We can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!
I loved reading ‘The Painted Hinge’, and happily still have some of her images in my Pinterest boards. I remember when you shared that she had passed. Thank you for honoring her, and your friendship with these features. One of my favorite images from her blog is a wire egg basket filled with a couple of small pumpkins, a white pitcher with wheat, and a couple of wooden spoons. So simple, yet so fall.

Thank you Laura. That is so sweet of you to say. I laugh sometimes thinking about past discussions on what should be featured and what shouldn’t. She kept me more open minded. 🙂

I know, right?! Blue jars come in so handy. Especially around our patriotic holidays! Thank you Melynda. Happy Friday!
Oh Cindy! I am truly honored to be featured at today’s Farmhouse Friday. Michelle had a fabulous vintage style, which I loved so much. I’m sad her blog is gone since I still perused her photos while it was still up. It was always inspirational. Gone too soon for sure. She was a sweet soul with a lot of talent. Thank you for keeping on with the party and everything your do. It’s much appreciated. XO- MaryJo

I appreciate you saying that MaryJo, thank you. It’s hard to think about, but one day, ours will be gone too. I guess I better appreciate it while it’s here. Have a great weekend.
Yes, those blue ball jars remind me of Michelle’s beautiful hutch decorated with them. Realize I’ve been blogging a long time when I think of our friends Michelle and Paula that are not longer with us. Both so creative and talented in their own way. Thanks for the memories<3 And thanks for hosting<3

I came across one of Paula’s photos the other day. It was of her screened porch decorated for the 4th of July. Her dog was in it too. Miss our chats. Thanks Lora. Happy Friday!
