Farmhouse Friday 251!

Spread the love

Happy Spring!   I’ve been loving the weather around us.  It even got me out into the yard for some much needed maintenance.  The mister won’t let anyone touch his beloved lawn mower.  You’d think from his possessiveness that he loves working in the yard but that’s a big fat no.  You’d also think from him not liking it that he’d hire someone to do it.  But again, a big fat no.  I wish someone in our house enjoyed gardening or doing the lawn but those genes do not run in our family.  Okay, that’s enough bellyaching, let’s get to Farmhouse Friday 251!

This week was a Pinterest Challenge and I created the cutest spring centerpiece/gift basket!  Y’all, I was wishing I could keep it for myself.  The entire thing cost less than $40 and included several vintage goodies.

If you missed it, click here and check it out.  You can see all 10 spring basket posts from my blogging friends too!  Now let’s get to the awesome features from Farmhouse Friday 250.  It’s DIY Delirium Day around here!

Striped breadboard with tea towel, small white pitcher and wooden spoonsHaving this fun painted breadboard by Debra at Common Ground displayed in my kitchen would be a total upgrade!  Plus it’s in two of my favorite colors!

Hi Cindy! I’ve been MIA for several weeks and it feels good to be partying with you again. Hubby bought himself a new grass beautifying tool, a power thatcher so guess what we did last weekend. It felt so good to be out in the sunshine again after a long winter hibernation but boy did we feel our age after all that yard work. Mine won’t hire someone either.

    • April 29, 2022 / 8:54 am

Nice! I’ve heard thatchers are much better on the grass. And I know what you mean with feeling our age! I was sore for 2 days. Glad to see you back Marie!

LOVE those beautiful mauve roses! thanks so much for sharing my painted breadboard, Cindy. I try to stay away from lawn equipment except a small blower. Then my sinuses get mad. Have a great weekend!

I’m so jealous of your nice weather! Soak it up for me;) Still brown, cold and rainy here…but at least the snow is gone! Trader Joe’s flowers for a couple more weeks…Thanks for hosting, friend!

Really?! Yikes! I have no clue what it’s like anywhere else during the winter really. We go skiing in Colorado or New Mexico some but that’s as far as I go during the winter. I know you’re itching for spring weather. Hope it gets there soon!

  9. April 29, 2022 / 4:15 pm

Thanks for the feature sweet friend. I am disappointed to have missed the Pinterest Challenge this month, but am recovering from surgery. Hope to be back next time!

    Niky

My pleasure Niky! I didn’t know you were having surgery. I’ll be praying for quick healing! Looking forward to you joining us again.

  10. April 29, 2022 / 6:37 pm

Love all the features you chose, Cindy! They have me all kinds of ready for the Spring to Summer transition. I’m so glad you got the chance to work out in the yard a bit. It’s been breezy and beautiful in Florida. Wish you were here! Big hugs and thanks for hosting, CoCo

    • April 29, 2022 / 7:48 pm

Didn’t love the yard work but I enjoy looking out the window and seeing that it looks nice. And I’ve already forgotten about the aches and pains. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Are you in the North, middle or South Florida? It’s like Texas – the terrain and even the beaches are so different in each place. Have a good one CoCo!

  11. April 30, 2022 / 6:38 am

You are so lucky you have nice spring weather. It’s been so cold here in Wisconsin we haven’t even been able to start cleaning up our yards. Thanks for the party.

    • May 1, 2022 / 11:51 am

Yikes! We just got new neighbors and I noticed their license plates say Wisconsin. They’re going to wish they hadn’t moved here come June – September but then they’ll appreciate the winters! Hope it warms up soon. Thanks for stopping by.

  12. April 30, 2022 / 12:30 pm

So many amazing posts to get inspiration from Cindy. Always so fun to see your Farmhouse Fridays.

  13. April 30, 2022 / 3:26 pm

I love to garden…I just wish we had more time. But when it comes to mowing, I’m with you. That’s a big fat no!๐Ÿ˜‚

    • May 1, 2022 / 11:55 am

When I watch the mister ride around mowing the yard at the farmhouse, he looks like Pig Pen. We have plenty of grass but underneath is pure sand so it follows him around like a cloud of dust. He comes inside covered in sand. No thanks! You dessert looks amazing. Can hardly wait to try it! Thanks for linking up.

Such wonderful features, Cindy! Thank you so much for hosting! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
