Howdy Folks! I’m so glad you’re visiting Farmhouse Friday 452.
Y’all know I’m obsessed with the weather, right? Well, today my car said it was 107 degrees. And don’t even get me started on the humidity or the heat index (whatever that is). I hope it’s cooler where you live.
While running some errands this week, I saw cars from New York, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida, and Arizona. And all I could think about was that they picked the wrong time to vacation in Texas. Why, just why? Ok, maybe Florida and Arizona understand, but I bet the Wisconsin visitors are barely able to breathe.
So, this week the theme will be called The Great Cool Down! Do you have a favorite ice cream recipe, or maybe a nice cold drink to share? Maybe you’ve been on a trip where the temps are pleasant and want to give us some tips. Whatever it is, I can hardly wait to get my mind off the heat and dive into your linkups.

Cindy over at Seasonal and Holiday Recipe Exchange shared an easy, delicious-sounding recipe for Coconut Ice Cream Snowballs! It made me think of my childhood and of how much I love coconut. I can hardly wait to make these. They can help with this summer heat too!

Girl, me too! I should be used to it living in TX my whole life, but I don’t think anyone can really get used to a hairdryer on high hitting you in the face every time you walk out the door. :/ Thank you Steph for linking up. Hope you have a great weekend as well – inside.
The Colorado Front Range has also been unusually hot this summer, although our humiduty is very low. The skies ahve also been smokey form all the wildfires burning in our state. I’m ready for autumn!

I’m with you, Pat! When I woke up this morning and saw it was cloudy, I immediately smiled and checked the forecast. It’s been a very long time since I was excited for temps in the 90s. Stay frosty my friend.

Hi Cindy- You always make me laugh, but those temps are no joke! We’ve had a weird summer in Northers California with temps going high & low. They had predicted ranging in the high 70s this past week, which I was really excited about and then we hit high 80s into 90s. Whatever – still doesn’t compare to your situation. Stay safe & cool. Anyway, about the party- thanks so much for featuring my Christmas in July crafts. I’m hoping to get a new one done before the end of the month- we’ll see. Girl, there is no chance of me going outside. I stopped by an antique store yesterday and told myself I will not be visiting another store until late Sept. Maybe even October depending on how Mother Nature has treated us. Hope you cool down too. I can’t imagine being anywhere near the 70’s until late autumn around here.
