Spread the love

Howdy friends!  It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 409, and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.  I can hardly believe August is already here.  Summer is coming to a close, and people are preparing for school.  I’m not.  I am about to take a little vacation because our kids are adulting.  I don’t miss the back-to-school shopping, getting up at the crack of black, or homework.  Nope, not one bit.  Just like having kids, it’s for the younger people.

Doesn’t that look perfectly festive and fabulous for a birthday brunch?!  Why yes, yes it does.  My birthday is next month and I celebrate the entire 30 days.  I hope for your sake, you do too.  Anyway, I’ve been thinking about my party and looked up Beautiful Autumn Party Food Display Ideas  and found some great options.  Check them out!

I totally understand that! I remember counting the days until their next break BEFORE they even went back to school! Enjoy your weekend as well. Thanks Shelley.

The funny thing for me is I get up earlier now than when my kids were home. I just naturally wake up early in my old age. What I really don’t miss is all the chauffeuring. Glad those days are over. Thanks for the party.

That’s funny Amy. I feel more busy than I was when they were in school. I like staying up (very late) and getting up late. But I miss the chauffeuring! LOL. I loved doing that. ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy August, CIndy! I do love to romanticize, and I have two tables – one for the fantasy (except on the occasional occasions, when I really put it into service), and one for reality, which can also be put into service (it’s a drop down in its everyday life). I loved all of the centerpieces you shared, and would consider any and all of them for either the romanticized or reality situations. Love these features, too. That Mango Pineapple frozen concoction looks amazing, and so do those pina colada cupcakes. The kabobs look sensational. I need a cook and bartender, stat! I’m with you, and don’t miss the back-to-school scene one iota..

I felt like I had been liberated when our schools went to “Wrap Packs”! You bought them at the end of the school year and we picked them up just before school started the next year. Did y’all have those? Oh my golly, they saved my sanity! Thank you Rita. It sounds like you’re living a wonderful romanticized life. You go girl! Love it!

Yes, I love having my grown kids now, too… and my grands. Nika asks for homeschool advice, and I’m happy to give it, but I’m glad for the break from homeschooling. BUT, I would always be willing to help her, too! ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Thanks for hosting!

I’m not a grandma but I here it’s wonderful. I would hope I’d always be willing to help as well. But it sure feels nice not having to set an alarm these days. LOL. Thank you Julie for linking up.
