Happy weekend friends!  Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 399!  I hope you have fun plans for Memorial Day and good weather to enjoy it.  The Mister and a couple of our adult kids will be at the lake, and I’ll be doing something much more fun in my eyes… antique shopping!

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 399!

The feature theme this week is Old Time Farmhouse Living with a bit of homemade goodness.  Check it out!

homemade jadeite candle holders with real jadeite pie plateMaryJo had my antique-loving heart when she said make your own faux jadeite candles!  Hop over to Masterpieces of My Life and get the DIY!  No time now?  Pin for later!

green bowl with homemade lotion barsHow about a homemade lotion bar from Ann’s Entitled Life?!  I definitely need these and she makes it look easy.  Thanks for sharing the recipe Ann!

stacked homemade peach ice cream in a clear glass footed bowlCan you get anymore farmhouse living than homemade peach ice cream?!  Not unless you’re milking the cow yourself.  I can hardly wait to try this.  You can see how Judy made it at Recipes Simple.  Why it sounds sweeter than stolen honey.  😉

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 399 PARTY GUIDELINES:

  • Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
  • It doesn’t matter how old your post is, please link your posts only once.
  • The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM, CST on Monday.
  • We aren’t requiring a link back to this party but if you do, thanks!  That’s mighty nice of you.
  • A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog so please don’t post and run.  Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
  • By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across social media accounts which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest
  • When linking to this party, you are permitting us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.

Thanks for throwing a wonderful party on this holiday weekend! Enjoy your day at the antique stores — that sounds like more fun to me too! Though I like gazing at a lake, I don’t care much for actually being in it LOL.

I used to love being on the lake. We used to live on the lake but I just can’t do the snakes anymore. I have an irrational fear of them. And if I hear someone say one more time – they are more afraid of you than you are of them… I’m going to scream THERE’S NO WAY! and maybe kick them. Happy Memorial Day weekend Sandra.
