Even though outside feels as if we could fry an egg on the driveway, I’ve been thinking about my birthday month, September. Initially, that brought on thoughts of what my party would look like. Which prompted me to look up beautiful autumn party food display ideas. I don’t want just any ol’ party. I want something different. And what I found is so fun and perfectly inspirational.

Not that I want to throw myself a party, but if I want it done like these ideas, it might be up to me. Oh, if only others could read the little details in my brain. Or at least share my hosting enthusiasm.

When you break this down, you see how simple it would be to recreate. To begin, all you need is a flat surface like a countertop, a table, a sideboard or buffet, or even a coffee table. Additionally, add different-sized pumpkins (so you can vary the height) and put your food on platters or plates sitting on top of the pumpkins.
Include a few more bowls or cake plates in between the pumpkins, and you have yourself a dandy display!

Who doesn’t love a good brunch?! Especially when the table looks like this! Just imagine a crisp cool day surrounded by friends, pancakes, and candles. And don’t forget the bacon. 😉

This reminds me of something you might see at a winery. We’d need only a few crates, pumpkins, and candles to set this up. Then adding a charcuterie board or mixed plates of cheeses with crackers would make a lovely celebration. What do you think?

Technically, this was found on a wedding site. So, if my party is huge, this will work, but it could be downsized quite easily. All you need is a rustic-looking table, a few pies or cakes supported on wood slices or cake plates, and pumpkins, flowers, and apples for filler and decoration. Using an autumn colored tablecloth, quilt, or a couple of winter scarves would be fun too.

Honestly, this is more my style. A small gathering with girlfriends, vintage china, a great view, and lots of laughter. Naturally, there would be cake, but I’m fine with having a chicken salad sandwich. Nothing fancy, just fun.

How to turn a boring store-bought cake into a harvest hit!

If someone were going to have a party to celebrate you, what would it look like? Would it be indoors or out? Is it with all of your friends or with just the family at home? Maybe a private room at your favorite restaurant? How do you like to be celebrated?

It’s never too early to start planning your birthday soiree! These ideas are amazing, and like you say, most of them would be very easy to put together. But isn’t that the beauty of fall? It’s not a very demanding season. Some runners in the right color range, a few bottles of wine, some cake plates and stands, cookies, muffins, and pumpkin bars mixed in with mums, pumpkins, sunflowers, pine cones and straw bales. I really enjoyed this inspiration!! Thank you for sharing these ideas!

Thank you Kristine. I am really looking forward to fall this year. Mostly because I am not going to let the cooler days go to waste! I’m determined to make the most of them. Even if I have to put together my own party! 🙂 At least I’ll know it’ll be beautiful.
All of these displays are so inspiring! I love fall and all it brings!
