Hey hey hey! How’s it going?!  Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 459. 

I am loving all the fall posts I see, and I’m happy to hear that some of you are actually getting cooler temperatures.  What a treat!

Okay, beginning where I left off telling you more about myself during my birthday month…

Number Four:  My parents surprised my sister and me (me, age 6, and Pam, age 4) with a trip to Six Flags Over Texas.  We were so excited that we jumped in the car and waited.  As no surprise, we were fooling around, and I started to pretend I was driving the car.  I pulled it out of gear, and it rolled out into the street.  Luckily, our neighbor saw us and ran to the back and held the car in place until our parents came out.  Not sure why we didn’t get to go that day.  

Number Five: My dad loved to fish and went as often as possible.  I wasn’t old enough to go, so my sister and I dug a hole in the dirt next to the carport and made fishing poles with sticks and string.  When dad got home, he put one of the fish in the hole we dug and placed the string with the stick in its mouth.  He called us outside and talked us into believing we had truly caught a fish.  Weren’t we a genius pair?  LOL.

Number Six:  We played with the kids next door all the time.  During his birthday party, Johnny got a Hoppity Hop.  He dared me to stab it with a knife.  So I did. 

I know this all sounds like I was a terrible child, but I blame my parents. LOL!  Why didn’t they lock the car or make sure we didn’t get in the car?  Why was there a knife just sitting there within reach, ready to stab said hoppity hop?  And why didn’t they say we are to be gracious and happy for the party boy, and that jealousy is wrong?  All thoughts to ponder.
