Spread the love

Hello friends!  I’ve missed chatting with you, and I hope your summer has started well.  It’s already in the mid to upper 90s here, so I’m staying inside.  Being outdoors isn’t for me.  At least not anymore.  Was anyone else stupid when they were young and rubbed baby oil on their body and lay out in the sun?!  We cooked ourselves!  I can’t believe some of the idiotic things we did.  Anyway, welcome to Farmhouse Friday 446. 🙂

The theme this week will be SUMMER FUN!  If it works for summer, link it!  We could all use a few great ideas.

If you are interested in seeing what the farm porch looked like last year, click here.  I loved being out there, but kept a fan and a spray bottle of water close by.  It only took me 50 years to realize that if I can keep my feet cool, my body stays cooler too.  lol

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 446 PARTY GUIDELINES:

  • Your style does not have to be farmhouse, nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up.  However, it would be nice to see – Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.

Baby oil and baking in the sun? That brings back memories, and don’t forget Sun-In for your hair!! Have a great weekend and stay cool!

LOL – I forgot about that! I didn’t do that because I had black air but my friends did. Thank you Ann. Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.

Yep. If we only knew then what we know now. At least we can protect the littles and lecture the teens! Thank you for linking up Rita.

I definitely remember slathering on baby oil when sitting in the sun! Thankfully, I didn’t
do it often but I know plenty of people who did! I only wish that we had known then what we know now! So glad to have you and Farmhouse Friday back, Cindy! Thanks for the party!

Yes, that was me too! I even laid on one of those foil mats. But now they are saying the sun is good for you as long as you don’t burn and that people don’t get enough sun. Who knows what to believe anymore.

Exactly – who knows what to actually believe anymore?! Thank you Amy for the visit and I hope you have a wonderfully fun weekend.

Hello Cindy, thank you for the linkup. Enjoy your weekend.
Never been one for the sun, even as a kid, as now not at all. Indoors when its cooking outside, that’s me.

I’m with you Esme. When I stopped having to sit outside at one of my kids ball games, I decided to be an indoor person. I love being out in the winter though! Thanks for linking up.
